I Am Now Branded
I finally got my tattoo!
I can't explain this inexplicable happiness that has just suddenly befallen me. The pain was all worth it. You can't just imagine my apprehension when the needle started striking my flesh! I thought the pain will be unbearable. Thankfully, I managed to survive the excruciating task.
The entire process only took less than an hour. I had my tattoo on the left side of my "wing-bone" or to be more precise at the side of the ribcage---one of the most painful places to ever have a tattoo and I got it! I was hesitant at first on the location but my tattoo artist has managed to persuade me and so I took her expert advice. The design was a cross with a skull superimposed on the center. A definitive sign of a rocker! It's a design that I've been mooning over since I'm basically crazy for crosses, skulls and anything dark and gothic.
I doubt if I'll ever regret my decision. It's a big risk that I took as this is something that I would be carrying for life. People will certainly say a lot of different things about it but I simply don't care! It's my mark. It's me! When I grow old and look back on my tattoo, there will definitely be this impish smile on my face and I'll just say to myself, "You did it girl. Well done!"
