Dead Weight

Where did my heart go?
I was lost, suspended in time
How could I have plummeted so low?

This life that has no reason nor rhyme.

These wings that soared so high
Could no longer lift me up
I'm a dead weight longing to cry

The emptiness has to stop.

A hollow body without a soul
Trapped in my own disintegration
Drowning in a mess I could no longer control
Can I still rise to my salvation?
