Sharks in the Sea

I am stranded in a sea out to nowhere
Surrounded by sharks who thirst for my flesh and blood
There is no escape but to give in and surrender
Even if I struggle there will always be another.

Is my body a curse or merely an easy prey
Does my blood makes them crazy in heat?
As they taste and had a piece of my flesh
They swim away leaving me to agonize in pain.

It's a cycle no matter where the tide brings me
There's always a shark with different faces
Leering and marking its sights on me
I'm a dead game before the chase has even started.

How do I keep myself from hurting
The wounds just keep growing and never heal
It might as well be that death is upon me
So I can never feel a single thing.

Will there be a boat to catch and save me?
So I can get out of this aimless and fruitless wander
The chase may be exciting but tiring after awhile
It's time I put my body to a slumber.
