My Escape and My Mistake

You pursued relentlessly and showed me your sweetest side
I was trapped in your own little ignorant world
Not knowing I became a victim of this deadly attraction.

We played the game and started dancing with fire
But then that fire became an unstoppable inferno
It burned a corner in my heart and left a scar of your memory.

I lost control... you were only meant to be an escape
The catalyst to stir up my mundane existence
But like any prey, I get attached to her predator.

With every broken plan, no-show and missed messages
You wounded my dignity and pride as a woman
Like a beggar who never has the right for your precious time.

You persisted on the forbidden game, got addicted to it
And I just followed, my foolishness running my head
Knowing my body's just a tool to gratify your needs.

The happiness you brought me has turned to poison
Spreading your venom, killing the joy in each cell of my body
You're a toxic drug that's destroying my sanity.

This mistake has been my burden, a chain I must be freed
As I bid my goodbye, may my face will be the one you see
The one you remember in your cold, frigid, pathetic nights.
