Memory of my Little Angel

Like a dream that ended unexpectedly
I reluctantly awoke to the bitter harsh reality
My heart could only embrace despair and sorrow
I'd rather sleep to forget even for awhile.

You came and departed from my womb so fast
Yet your tiny memory will always be remembered
For in a short time, you brought precious joy to a yearning mother
And a glimmer of excitement to an expecting father.

Yet I must live and move on
Face the music again with a strong determined heart
For I will keep trying till I can finally--
Touch your little hands and feet...
Pinch your chubby rosy cheeks...
Beheld your toothless smile...
See myself into your eyes...
Nestle you against my bosom...
Embrace your warmth within the curve of my arms...
