Tormented Youth

Days have fled like the passing of a train
Carrying only memories so old and yet so plain
Looking back, I ponder, it has been a life
The years marred by countless folly and strife.

My innocence tormented by my reckless youth
Devoured by merrymaking and daring sleuth
A carefree spirit who has no concern for tomorrow
My future's knowledge has been a neglected sorrow.

It's thus impossible for time to step backward
Regret has catalyzed me to move forward
To render this life to the outmost sacrifice and meaning
For the world, for others, is a whole new beginning...
